The St Mawes series was inspired by different aspects and variations in colour during the day. The viewpoint changes within this series and the hue of the sand and water constantly ebbs and flows. Text fragments reference colour, tides and flora and fauna, as well as the wonderful clouds which I love. I created a series of paintings and prints that aim to capture the ethereal light, sculpted shapes and lines made by the sea below the wide blue skies. A beautiful place!
