Story of a special artwork: elements detailed below…

  • Sketch of the bride’s gorgeous shoes, simply drawn and elegant.

  • Vintage maps of Arcachan, collaged inside the shoes

  • Sketch of Chateau with the wedding car

  • music score ‘All you need is love’ by The Beatles

  • White and grey hues inspired by the setting

  • Shadows in pale blue like leaves underfoot

  • Bouquet flowers and leaves surround the shoes like the windows in ‘Chateau de Ruat’

  • Oysters: served at the wedding, symbol of the ‘perfect fit’ of the couple

  • ‘be a dear’ a quote from the day

  • collaged text for ‘wedding’, ‘flower’

  • 12 shells, one for every month on the couple’s first anniversary ( shells were used as place settings)
