Spending so much time in my garden at the moment enjoying the spring flowers and wildlife. Im returning to my flower Garden series for inspiration and have this framed piece in my studio gallery.

The Secret Garden
The pages of the book ‘A Secret Garden’ by Frances Hodgson Burnett are the backdrop to this beautiful and exotic garden, bursting with life, love, optimism and colour. Based on a real garden near to Henley on Thames, the piece hints at the joy of finding a garden filled with nature and what can happen f you let your imagination run wild and find your own secret place.
Nobody knows on which path life will take us, and the excitement of the unknown is referenced through a collage of old Indian postcards which are in such an ancient script that they are almost impossible to translate.
The beauty of nature fills the artwork with many real flowers and plants along with a few imaginary ones.
There are many hidden messages and stories within the piece and, of course, a key… .
