St Ives Seascapes

This series is inspired by the beautiful town by the sea. Painted with the palette of vintage postcards, the view is bright and clear as if remembering a perfect day by the seaside in the window of your mind.

Kirsten paints seascapes at different times of the day and throughout the year. The ever-changing colours and textures, boats and buildings are fascinating. The text within each piece is a unique reference to the sea, tides, the moon, sand and shore to name just a few.

Some days different aspects of the view stand out and this series captures the way our favourite views change according to what is in our mind, who we are with and where we are headed.

Each is a moment in time to be treasured and remembered.
